I agree with the Beauty and the Beast concept. It's not at all a bad thing. It'll be interesting what twist you're going to take this story with.
Your logline is very interesting and I like how you showed that youre main character starts as a very flawed person. This leaves alot of room for your character to change and I am very interested in how your story will turn out in the end.
